Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) is an archery development program open to any archer ages 8 to 20 at any current level of experience. The purpose of JOAD is to help each archery progress to their next level of archery. The combination of instruction from several USA Archery certified instructors with individual goals helps each archer move towards their specific archery goals. By working towards and achieving pins and lanyards, young archers can work towards goals and measure their archery progress and success. JOAD also allows for young archers to form a community around the sport. Archery offers many benefits to young archers including challenging themselves to learn new skills, enhance mental focus, and increase their body awareness and good posture.
